Provide technical assistance to development actors and project implementation for better efficiency and effectiveness in the way humanitarian and development activities are carried out in Nepal.The Need
Nepal is prone to manmade and natural disasters along with outbreaks of communicable diseases. Every year Nepal is facing the disasters such as floods, landslides, fires & accidents. Disease outbreaks such as COVID have largely affected the country’s health system, and livelihoods and education.The Solution
GTA is implementing projects that support disaster response and management, improving maternal and child health, stewardship for antimicrobial resistance, COVID response and related research, vaccination and vaccine research, disease surveillance, nutrition research and educational project.Our Impact
Helped 360 flood/landslides survivors, 66 fire disaster survivors, 350 poor, 150 COVID patients, also trained stakeholders and equipped the contingency plans. Conducted research on COVID vaccine hesitancy, vaccine wastage, vaccination cards, SRHR nutrition.
Group Technical Assistance (GTA) uses a variety of approaches including disaster management, public health-related research, disease surveillance, communication, participatory training for capacity building, organization of workshops and special technical assistance based on the needs of the client organizations and target groups. GTA adopts participatory techniques to strengthen the management capabilities of its clients leading to more sustainable outcomes. We acknowledge the necessity of equity and have taken steps forward in having a gender-balanced workplace.
