Development of Village Education

Development of Village Education (DOVE) is a non-governmental organization, working in the southern districts in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It was founded in the year 2000 and has supported marginalized families in the areas of education, healthcare, women empowerment and disaster management services during the past twenty years.

The organization activities include housing, children’s education programs, community health care, livelihood support, women empowerment and disaster management. Hundreds of families, including children, from poor backgrounds in rural villages are provided with access to these activities. The organization is creating a strong foundation to ensure individuals from poor backgrounds have better health and brighter futures.

While fundraising is necessary to execute and sustain these activities, the organization’s immediate needs are to address issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals from poor backgrounds need the following items immediately, as there are severe cases of starvation, illness and unemployment:

• Food
• Medicine
• Medical equipment
• Masks
• Disinfectants

Please donate now and help DOVE save lives in this time of need. They need to raise a total of $165,000 to achieve their goals which includes feeding families and setting up a hospital.

This is especially important since individuals are starving and the nearest hospital is 55 kilometers away. All money will go toward DOVE activities.
